- Additional Info: We participate in several multi-center clinical trials and have the support of an in-house Clinical Trials Unit and a dedicated NICU research nurse. We are the only hospital in Louisiana to provide both Level IV neonatal and obstetric care at the same facility, Ochsner Baptist Hospital. Experienced Neonatologists with training or experience as the principal investigator for clinical trials or recent graduates with experience in clinical trials are invited to consider joining our division and working alongside a team of experienced neonatal nurse practitioners. Our section of fetal echo is located at Ochsner Baptist Hospital and coordinates the care of babies with complex congenital heart diseases. We serve the entire Gulf South region with an established ground and air neonatal transport system. All modes of respiratory support including HFJV and HFOV are available in addition to the use of inhaled nitric oxide. We are supported by one of the longest-standing ECMO programs.
