Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a comprehensive set of primary care skills
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations for children
  • Participate in quality improvement/patient safety projects
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care

**This health center is a nationally recognized Planetree hospital and a certified Medical Home with embedded Behavioral Health, a diabetic care team for complex diabetic patients, and a Case Management team to follow and care for high risk patients, connecting them with local services. We are seeking a clinician committed to health equity and expanded access for children living in this region of approximately 25,775 people. The pediatrician will work alongside other primary care physician groups at the hospital, including internal medicine and family practice.

Location & Population: Located in Wasco County, Oregon, about 1.5 hours east of Portland. Campus includes a full gym, Physical Therapy Department, Sleep Medicine Clinic, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Immediate Care, X-Ray, and Lab. It sits at the edge of the Columbia River Gorge. The surrounding area offers a wide range of world class outdoor activities, including windsurfing, kiteboarding, kayaking, skiing, road and mountain biking and endless hiking trails. This area of Oregon has a rich history, which crosses over to the hospital’s patient population.
