The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is looking for a board certified or eligible Lead Pediatric Urologist to join our team in Coastal Charleston, SC. MUSC is the premier tertiary referral center and academic teaching hospital in South Carolina. This opportunity is located in a major academic medical center that serves a diverse population of patients from a large geographic area.

Transforming fetal, women’s and children’s care for the region, in 2020 MUSC Children’s Health opened the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital — a 100,000 square foot, 250-bed, state-of-the-art building. Along with our nationally ranked clinical care is MUSC’s major pediatric clinical research center, the Charles P. Darby Research Institute, enabling us to continually imagine what’s possible—today, tomorrow and beyond.

The MUSC Children’s R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion offers comprehensive specialty clinics, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, infusion procedures, and support services such as lab and pharmacy, and urgent care in one convenient location. This pediatric dedicated medical pavilion and ambulatory surgery center has been designed exclusively for children and offers hassle-free parking, easy access from major roadways and convenient bus transit service.

Pediatric Urology operates as a part of MUSC’s Department of Urology and in collaboration of all pediatric dedicated providers as a part of MUSC Children’s Health. Pediatric Urology and offers a comprehensive selection of services, including pre-natal consultations, inpatient and outpatient consultation services, and surgical procedures. Our Urology Residency Program includes 15 residents and 2 fellows.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Candidates must have completed a Medical Doctorate, urology residency, and subsequent fellowship
  • Candidates must be Pediatric Subspecialty certified by the American Board of Urology
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Pediatric Urologist
  • Proven track record of Leadership with the desire to grow and lead an exceptional program
  • Interested in Research and Program Development
