The Department of Surgery at this prestigious school of medicine on the Gulf Coast is currently seeking a BE/BC surgeon who has completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery. Academic rank is open to the Assistant Professor level and will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic productivity. candidates for a faculty position.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in academic surgery in the areas of patient care and medical education. Duties will include inpatient care at the woman and children’s hospital, the primary referral center for the region, and teaching medical students and residents. Successful candidates will interact with an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals dealing with a broad range of pediatric surgery cases. Unique opportunities for program development, clinical research, and scholarly interactions with clinical and laboratory research programs are available.
