An esteemed pediatric healthcare facility is seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist for locum tenens coverage as part of an ongoing effort to fill a permanent position. This opportunity involves a blend of outpatient, inpatient, and on-call responsibilities, offering a diverse and fulfilling professional experience. The role requires candidates to work 1 week per month, covering 5 weekdays on-site and weekend on-call duties.

Job Responsibilities

Provide care for pediatric patients with a variety of pulmonary conditions through outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and bronchoscopy procedures.
Deliver day (inpatient) and night on-call coverage during the assigned week.
Collaborate with ICU teams for consultations, although ICU care is not exclusive to this role.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care using the EPIC EMR system.
Handle an average of 4 phone consultations per day during call coverage.
Work alongside a skilled healthcare team, including support staff and respiratory specialists, to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Board-certified or board-eligible (BE/BC) in Pediatric Pulmonology.
Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain one promptly.
Valid DEA license.
Strong proficiency in inpatient, outpatient, and bronchoscopy procedures.
Familiarity with EPIC EMR is highly preferred.
Prior experience managing both inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonology cases.
Comfortable handling ICU consults as part of a broader patient care scope.

Working Hours

1 week per month.
5 weekdays on-site, with weekend on-call responsibilities.
Inpatient and night call coverage bundled within the same week.
