Morgantown, West Virginia

West Virginia University School of Medicine and Pediatrics Department is seeking a Chief for Pediatric Pulmonology/Sleep Medicine/Cystic Fibrosis who will lead and assist in expanding this division.

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pulmonary Medicine
  • Sleep Medicine certification is highly desired
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience practicing as a pediatric pulmonologist in an academic setting.
  • Excellent leadership skills and clinical expertise is necessary
  • Clinical research and published work is also required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology will play a vital role in the education of medical students/residents/fellows.
  • Practice inpatient/outpatient pulmonology
  • Extend outreach services via telemedicine to clinics in the WVU service area.
  • Conduct bronchoscopies and interpret pulmonary function tests.
  • Direct and lead the Pediatric Sleep Disorders Clinic and CF Therapeutics Development Center.
