- Other Details: This Pediatric Hospitalist position offers full-time or part-time 12-hour shifts (7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM) covering inpatient units, a Level 2 nursery, high-risk deliveries (32 weeks and over), and a 10-bed pediatric unit, along with a 4-bed Pediatric Emergency Department. Two pediatricians per shift handle ED consults and floor duties, with no on-call requirements. Candidates must have BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, and have at least three years of experience. The role involves neonatal resuscitation, intubation, arterial and lumbar punctures, umbilical vein catheterization, and pediatric resuscitation.

Job Responsibilities
- Attend high-risk deliveries (32 weeks and over) and perform neonatal resuscitation and procedures such as intubation, arterial and lumbar punctures, and umbilical vein catheterization.
- Cover a 10-bed pediatric unit, a Level 2 nursery, and a 4-bed Pediatric Emergency Department.
- Work alongside another pediatrician per shift, with one assigned to the pediatric emergency department and the other to floor duties.
Qualifications
- Active Maryland medical license or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact).
- Minimum of three years of experience in pediatric hospital medicine or emergency care.
- Certifications required: BLS, PALS, and NRP.
Working Hours
- No on-call requirements.
- Schedule varies and includes weekends, nights, and holidays, with a preference for night and weekend shifts.
- Estimated 10 shifts per month.
Skills
- Proficiency in procedures such as intubation, arterial and lumbar punctures, and umbilical vein catheterization.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with emergency, OB, and surgical teams.
