Pediatric Hospitalist position close to Minneapolis and Madison, WI. Partner with one of the nation's best hospitals ranked #1 in more specialties than any other care provider. Duties include care for patients affected by prematurity, respiratory distress, infectious diseases, congenital heart disease, and/or other anomalies. Clinical responsibilities include resuscitation of newborns, care of healthy newborns, day-to-day management of babies in the special care nursery, and care of hospitalized children. This position is solely inpatient. Hospitalists work 12-hour shifts in-house, 24 weeks per year. Procedures performed include circumcisions, umbilical central lines, lumbar punctures, frenulectomies, intubations, and emergent needle decompression of pneumothorax.
