Driscoll Health System is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nocturnist to join our inpatient pediatric team. The Pediatric Nocturnist will provide high-quality, family-centered care to hospitalized pediatric patients, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support continuity of care from admission through discharge.

Job Details:

  • Newly created position driven by growth and expansion of our organization.
  • Shifts are 7 pm - 7 am.
  • No travel required.
  • 24/7 in-house coverage.
  • EPIC EMR System
  • Applicants will be considered for a faculty appointment at Texas A&M University and other affiliate medical schools.
  • Our hospitalists are actively involved in our pediatric residency program, providing clinical guidance and mentorship to future pediatricians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric inpatients, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges.
  • Work closely with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and primary care providers regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Supervise and mentor medical students and residents, if applicable.
  • Assist in developing and implementing hospital policies and procedures related to pediatric care.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in compliance with hospital standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Pediatrics.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
