Job Description
Join a team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Adult Hospitalists and provide up-to-date, evidence-based care to the community in beautiful central Maine with proximity to Portland, Maine.
About the position:
- Provide care for well-newborns, Level II NICU and delivery attendance, pediatric inpatients, and emergency department consults
- State-of-the-art facility
- 12 or 24-hour shifts available.
- In-house support from OB's, midwives, anesthesia, emergency medicine and family medicine
- Pediatric subspecialty/NICU/PICU support available by phone
- Teaching responsibilities
- Average daily census of 4-6 patients
Who we are seeking:
- MD, DO
- Board certification or ABMS
- Must especially be comfortable with neonatal resuscitation, newborn care, and stabilization of critically ill newborns while awaiting transfer to a tertiary care center.
- Be Maine licensed or ability to obtain one
