A medical center in Redding is looking for a pediatric hospitalist physician to assist with various blocks of dates through 2024 (April, July, August, and December - could be more as the year progresses). Details:
  • Setting: pediatric inpatient
    • Required procedures: pediatric resuscitation and intubation, lumbar punctures
    • EMR: Cerner
    • Must be able to provide resident teaching/precepting
    • Average callback hours: Weekday 4.6, weekend 4.4
    • Average # of admissions per day: 4 pediatric and 7 newborn/nursery patients
    • Average # of ICU patients per day: No PICU/NICU - will be covered by neonatologists
    • Emergency codes are run by EM physicians
    • High-risk deliveries seen by neonatologists
  • 5-7 day blocks
Required:
  • Board certified or board eligible (within 3 years of residency) in Pediatrics
  • Active CA license
  • Clean malpractice/background
  • DEA
Compensation:
  • Receive a paycheck every week!
