Cross Country Locums is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locums opportunity in Tifton GA. Here are some details:

  • Work Dates Needed: Starting January 2024
  • Preferred Schedule: 7a-7p in house / 7p-7a call from hotel – MUST be in house 12hrs. 3-5 consecutive shifts. 10-13 shifts per month.
  • Worksite Setting: Hospital / South Central Georgia
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Pay Rate Preferred: 24hr All-inclusive coverage rate $2,000/day

Job Responsibilities

Scope of Work: Rounds, admissions, consults for Pediatric ward, labor & delivery, newborn nursery; Average census for PEDS/newborns is low to mid-teens (12-17); MD will have 1-2 APPs to assist daily, except Sunday
Additional information: Responsible for night admissions; MD to use their clinical judgment if they need to come in for admissions overnight or wait until morning; For all direct PED admissions, the MD must come in after 7p; Avg census ranges from 9-27 patients per day – Standard is around 11 patients per day with APP assistance.

Qualifications

Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Active GA license, Active DEA - must have GA address or be willing to change to GA address; Board Certified; Clean background, no issues; Any malpractice disclosed/explained; Covid vaccination (potential for exemption); Current CV showing all work, including locums
