  • There are no deliveries to attend, as they are admitted inpatients for non-critical areas
  • Seeing patients admitted to acute care floors with general pediatric diagnoses.
  • Various subspecialties available for consultation, and most of them admit their own patients to their own services (e.g. sickle cell crisis to Hematology, DKA to Endocrinology or Critical Care Medicine).

  • acute viral bronchiolitis
  • Asthma

  • Possibility that other cases could include undifferentiated abdominal pain without evidence of appendicitis, undifferentiated musculoskeletal pain requiring further diagnostic evaluation, complex febrile seizure, high-risk BRUE, patients with medical complexity +/- technology dependence admitted due to desaturations or feeding intolerance, or other.
