Support Staff: RN’s, CMA’s, one other full time and part time physician, and NP.
• Coverage Type: Clinic hours + call
• Clinic hours:
Weekdays: Outpatient Clinic Monday-Friday
Weekends if any: No weekend clinic but does have weekend call
Call expectations: Inpatient and outpatient call: 7-14 days depending on the month
24 hour call includes inpatient consults and urgent outpatient questions for providers not currently in the clinic
Clinic days will cover any inpatient consults or urgent outpatient questions for providers not currently in clinic for that 24 hours
Work Details:
• EMR/Charting Software: EPIC
• Avg. Daily Census: 10-12 with a mix of new and follow ups.
• Patient Age Group: Birth - 21
• Department description: Provider will be seeing 10-12 patients with 60 minutes for new patients, 30 minutes for follow ups. Treating Adrenal gland conditions, Diabetes, Early or delayed puberty, Growth problems, Lipid disorders, Low blood sugar, Menstrual disorders, Obesity, Pituitary gland conditions, Thyroid gland conditions, Vitamin D deficiency. They have these other specialties within their practices to collaborate within the group: Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Genetics, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Pediatric Complex Care Clinic, after NICU care, and Pediatric Development and Behavior.
• Reason for need: one of their providers left, they had to stop bringing on new patients, due to the volume of patients within the practice, until they can replace the provider that left.
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: BC or BE in Pediatric Endocrinology
• State License(s): NC
• Certifications: CPR, PALS are a plus
• DEA Req’d? Required
• Years of Experience Req’d: They’re flexible.
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
