Pediatric Endocrinologist Needed for Call and Clinic Coverage

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour days with 24-hour call

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our team for call and clinic coverage. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to pediatric patients with endocrine disorders, both in the clinic and via phone consultations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert pediatric endocrine care in the clinic setting, Monday through Friday.
• Manage phone call consultations for the “mommy clinic” and hospital/ER inquiries.
• Be available for unrestricted home call, providing support primarily through phone consultations.
• Conduct new diabetic consults in person, typically involving at least one visit during a 48-hour admission to meet the family and arrange follow-up care.
• Collaborate with hospitalists who admit and manage most patients, offering phone support as needed.
• Utilize Cerner Powerchart for electronic medical records.

Requirements:

• Must hold a current North Carolina (NC) medical license and DEA certificate.
• Board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Proven ability to manage both clinical duties and phone consultations efficiently.
