Hospital associated Private Medical Group seeking full-time and part-time providers to join its pediatric emergency medicine group, Children’s Acute Care.
The Medical Center includes a 44-bed NICU, a 25-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Pediatric medical staff support includes neonatal, hospitalist, and critical care staff.
The Pediatric Emergency Department (PED) is one of the busiest in the state and has seen consistent increases in patient volumes since opening 10 years ago. Currently, the PED has approximately 39,000 visits per year and has recently moved into their new 17-bed department to support the sustained growth. The PED serves as the pediatric base for the county EMS system and provided trauma services to the area.
This opportunity places strong emphasis on clinical service and program development. Responsibilities include clinical coverage of the PED and in its growth and performance improvement activities.
The opportunity offers flexible scheduling, compensation package, which includes a competitive salary with bonus opportunities, a benefits menu, malpractice insurance, and relocation assistance. Candidates must be board certified in pediatrics and either BC/BP in pediatric emergency medicine; or possess extensive recent experience in pediatric emergency medicine.
