Job Description: Locum - Physician - Pediatric Emergency Room
Location: Neptune, NJ
Shift Type: Varied (7a-5p, 1p-11p, 9p-7a)
Weekend Requirements: Yes
On Call: No

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Duties:
  • Provide pediatric emergency care to patients in an independent pediatric ER.
  • Handle a variety of pediatric cases, including trauma, illnesses, and injuries.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), scribes, and specialists.
  • Maintain documentation and patient records in EPIC EMR.
• Facility Overview:
  • 22,000 annual pediatric visits.
  • Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 8 pediatric beds (including private rooms).
  • 10-bed PICU and 40-bed NICU.
  • In-house specialty back-up including trauma, neurosurgery, PICU, and anesthesia support.
  • Pediatric training program at the facility.

Certifications & Training Requirements

• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • ATLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine with pediatric experience.

Licensing & Credentialing Requirements

• New Jersey Licensing:
  • Must have an active New Jersey Medical License.
  • Must have an active NJ CDS license.
  • Must have an active NJ DEA license.
• Credentialing:
  • Clean malpractice and background history required.
  • 24 months of case logs to be submitted with application.

• Health Requirements:
  • Drug screening, TB test, flu vaccine, COVID test, MMR titers.
