Cross Country Locums is actively seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician for a rewarding Locum Tenens position in the heart of Texas.
Qualifications:
Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (EM) or Internal Medicine (IM) with Emergency Medicine experience
Residency in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM), American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine (ABOEM), or American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) certified/eligible
Pediatric Emergency Fellowship certification or eligibility.
Must possess an active Texas medical license.
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is preferred.
Clinical Environment:
Campus with an annual volume of 29,000 and patient rate of 1.9 per hour
ER is a Level IV trauma center
Specialty Backup available in various fields including Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, and more
Floor Codes managed by PICU team during the day; ER takes on codes at night
No obligation to work with students in the program
Schedule:
Shifts available: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM; 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM; 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM / Tue-Fri 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM; 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
Fast Track system in place
APP coverage from 10 AM to 5 PM and 5 PM to midnight
EMR System:
MediTech
Compensation:
$250 per hour
Includes travel expenses such as flights, lodging, and car rental.
Credentialing Time:
Approximately 60-90 days
