Texas Children’s Hospital – North Austin Campus seeks Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide patient care in the Emergency Center in Austin, TX.
The Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Division of Emergency Medicine, in association with Texas Children's Hospital, is seeking pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physicians, within the highly respected Emergency Medicine Division.
Opened in February 2024, our new state-of-the-art full-service hospital in Austin will increase access to quality healthcare for children and women across central Texas. Join the Texas Children’s team in expanding our standard of care for families across the state. This position is a rare opportunity to participate in the start, growth, and expansion of a BRAND-NEW medical facility and campus aimed to serve the growing population of Austin, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up with the support and resources of a nationally ranked Children’s Hospital.

Core privileges including the performance of high stakes and other procedures performed during emergency care delivery.

Experience treating acutely ill and injured infants, children, and adolescents 0 -21 years of age.

Experience treating patients in Level 2 trauma center.
Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D., or D.O or (equivalent degree), and be:

ABEM or ABP Board certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
-
or ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine with experience or specials interest in pediatric emergency medicine (e.g., EM/PEDS combined residency, Emergency Physician with experience working in a children’s ER, etc.)

The candidate selected for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license. (Licensed by the Texas Medical Board)

Job Responsibilities
•Clinical duties for PEM physicians are to evaluate, diagnose, manage, consult, and treat all patients who seek care in the Texas Children's Emergency Centers for any problem or complaint.
•Core privileges include the performance of high stakes and other procedures commonly performed or needing to be performed urgently or emergently
Qualifications
Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Board-certified or Board-eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine by ABP.
Graduated from an accredited Pediatrics/Emergency Medicine Residency and has completed a (PEM) Fellowship.
The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or hold an active Texas medical license.
