ECU Health Physicians and The Department of Pediatrics at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Intensivist to join their expanding academic division. New graduates are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will provide care at Maynard Children’s Hospital on the campus of ECU Health Medial Center, a 974-bed level 1 trauma center with a dedicated pediatric emergency department.

- The PICU both supports and is supported by a broad range of sub-specialty medical and surgical services, including but not limited to pediatric surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, and pediatric anesthesia
- Fixed term or tenure track positions are available at the title / rank of Assistant Professor, Assistant Clinical Professor, Associate Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Professor, or Clinical Professor.

James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital
The James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital, located on the campus of ECU Health Medical Center, is designed to care for children from newborns to 18 years of age (and up to 21 years of age is patient is being followed by a pediatric physician). The 206,499 square foot 198-bed facility provides highly specialized services including a pediatric intensive care (PICU), neonatal intensive care (NICU), kids immunosuppressed specialty unit (KISU), specialty care nursery, mother-baby unit, pediatric ECMO services, 24/7 children’s emergency department, acute dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), pediatric radiology, pediatric rehabilitation, general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, and craniofacial surgery. Brody School of Medicine
The School of Medicine provides accredited education programs for medical students, residents and fellows, doctoral students in the basic medical sciences, and practicing physicians. The hallmarks of these programs are close-faculty student interaction, experiential learning, and development of students’ ability to continue learning even after they leave the formal educational setting.
