West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology for it's expanding Pediatric Cardiology program. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a supportive academic environment!

  • Qualifications:Completion of a pediatric residency program and pediatric cardiology fellowship program. Additional formal training in pediatric electrophysiology is required.
  • BC/BE in pediatric cardiology
  • At least two years of post-fellowship experience is highly desired.
  • For consideration at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, candidates must demonstrate a track record of leadership, excellent communication skills and publications in high-impact journals.
  • Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive care in pediatric cardiology with a specialization in electrophysiology.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents and fellows.
  • WVU Medicine Children's Hospital Highlights:Newly-built 150-bed hospital located on the campus of WVU Medicine.
  • Dedicated cardiac operating rooms and a hybrid cardiac EP and interventional catheterization lab.
  • Dedicated pediatric cardiac anesthesia staff.
  • Pediatric surgery suites are easily accessible from the EP clinic.
  • Headquarters for Project Adam, a program helps schools, sporting programs, and community sites become Heart Safe, connecting you with the resources needed to respond should a cardiac event occur.
  • Working towards a pediatric transplant certification.
