Pediatric Cardiologist, All Ranks

The Department of Pediatrics is expanding and recruiting a full-time, board-certified, or board-eligible Pediatric Cardiologist. Join our dynamic and collegial team of pediatric cardiovascular specialists who are part of a major academic health system at University Hospital.

University of Missouri Health Care's Children's Hospital offers the only pediatric cardiology program in mid-Missouri, providing state-of-the-art treatment for both congenital and acquired cardiovascular defects and diseases. We treat heart and vascular conditions in fetuses, infants, and children.

Job Details

  • 90% Clinical, 10% Teaching
    • Teaching responsibilities for medical students and house staff directing patient care.
    • Perform all your own test interpretations
    • Predominately consult work
    • Read tests - Echo, EKG, ECG, & Stress Tests
      • Level 3 NICU
  • Call:
    • 1 in 3 Home Call
      • Divided evenly with partners
  • Opportunities for creating and participating in opportunities for clinical and translational research.
  • IAC accredited pediatric echo lab with pediatric sonographer who also takes call

Qualifications

  • BC/BE, MD/DO
  • Successful completion of ACGME accredited pediatric residency and fellowship program in cardiology.
  • All applicants must be licensed in MO or eligible for licensure in MO.
  • Non-tenure track; Rank will be commensurate with experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interests or experience in fetal cardiology, clinical and/or research opportunities in preventative cardiology.
