Central/Northern Mississippi Facility AP/CP Pathology Locums Job | Six Weeks of Coverage April - December

Jackson and Coker's client is seeking 1-2 AP/CP Pathologists to assist with locum tenens coverage starting this April & intermittently through 2025. With support needed at three different locations, look forward to the opportunity to pick up additional dates as they're needed and to begin building your schedule with the firm dates detailed below.

Coverage Need:
* Seeking onsite lab coverage from 8A-5P, M-F + night and weekend call coverage for all stretches detailed below
- April 21
- April 28 (Monday – Monday)
- April 28 – May 5 (Monday – Monday)
- May 27 – June 2 (Monday – Monday)
- June 23 – June 30 (Monday – Monday)
- August 18 – August 25 (Monday – Monday)
- December 22 – December 29 (Monday – Monday)April 21 – April 28 (Monday – Monday)

Assignment #107515 Details/Requirements:
- Active & unrestricted Mississippi medical license required (will consider active IMLC candidates)
- Active Board Certification (AP/CP) required
- Seeking candidates that are boarded and/or experienced with AP/CP & Surgical Pathology
- Prefer candidates with experience and/or training in Cytology & Hematopathology (Bone Marrows) - NOT required
- Cases to anticipate while on assignment: GI biopsies, GI biopsies, GYN biopsies, skin biopsies, bladder biopsies, laryngeal biopsies, breast biopsies, lung biopsies (for tumor), appendix, tonsils, gallbladders, hernias, mastectomies, colon resections, hysterectomies, amputations, placentas, peripheral blood smear reviews, thyroids, nephrectomies, orchiectomies, prostatectomies, large cancer resections, Whipple’s, and neuropathology
- Additional cases specific to cytology: non-gyn, gyn & FNAs
- NO Autopsies - case volume averages: between 20-30 cases per day consisting of surgicals, bone marrows, non-gyn cyto, gyn cyto & FNAs
- Will have offsite transcriptionists available to type all of your reports (TAT is generally 2 hours or less)
- PAs will handle grossing (there will be cytology quick stains to be assessed) but stained slides will be brought to your office by cytotechs (approximately 100 frozen sections/month)
- EPIC EMR + will be required to get credentialed at 3 facilities
