We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pathologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in anatomy and pathology, with the ability to diagnose diseases through the examination of tissue samples and medical imaging. This role is critical in providing accurate diagnoses that guide treatment plans for patients across various settings, including outpatient care and primary care facilities. The Pathologist will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Pathologist Needed. Hospital Based Practice looking for a part time or per diem Pathologist with AP or AP/CP board certification. The practices are located in the metro Detroit region of Michigan. A Michigan license is required with a minimum of 2 years experience as a generalist. Competitive salary and benefits package

Job Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations of tissue samples and bodily fluids to identify diseases and conditions.
Utilize medical imaging techniques, including CT scans, to support diagnostic processes.
Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to discuss findings and recommend further testing or treatment options.
Implement infection control measures during sample collection and processing.
Participate in discharge planning for patients requiring follow-up care or additional interventions.
Maintain accurate records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Stay updated on advancements in pathology and related fields to enhance diagnostic accuracy.

Qualifications

A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with a specialization in pathology.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, geriatrics, and outpatient care practices.

Proficiency in interpreting medical imaging results is advantageous.
