- Orientation – one day
- Mon – Fri: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Call alternate weekly (Fri @ 5:00 pm – Fri @ 8:00 am)
- Full time - Preferred
- will accept 1 week per month

- Clinical Details:
- Approximately 34-50 cases ready per day
- Grossing own specimens
- Cut own frozen sections on Cryostat
- Procedures:
- Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, Blood Bank
- Need to be able to handle GI biopsies, breast biopsies and neuropathology in particular
- Neurosurgical cases are the most frequent frozen section requests both during the daytime and after hours on call
- Anatomic Pathology Procedures: Surgical, GI Pathology, GU Pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Cytology
- Support Staff:
- 1 additional full time Pathologist
- Current pathologist works in tandem with locum
- Histotechnologists
- EMR:
- NovoPath
- Allscripts Sunrise
- Typically 30 day credentialing, will prioritize around start date
- Must have access to case logs
- Hospital based, rotating call
- Required:
- 1 year experience minimum
- Must be Anatomical Pathology / Clinical Pathology certified Pathologist
- Life Support Certification through American Heart Association:
- ACLS
- Case Logs:
- 50 patients (surgical consultative) in the last 12 months
- Michigan License or IMLC with qualifying letter
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years
- All Residencies & Fellowships must be ACGME Approved
- No large malpractice issues
- Active MI DEA
