The Department of Pathology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, in collaboration with High Point Medical Center, is seeking a General Pathologist to join our growing team. Job Responsibilities

Independent Sign-Out: Perform independent diagnostic sign-outs in Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, and Clinical Pathology.
Diagnostic Excellence: Deliver accurate and timely diagnoses using advanced diagnostic techniques and technologies.
Team Collaboration: Partner effectively with other pathologists, medical professionals, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Communication: Clearly convey diagnostic findings and provide consultative advice to clinicians and other stakeholders.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement activities to maintain and enhance the quality of diagnostic services.
Teaching: Engage in education of medical students and post-graduate trainees affiliated with Wake Forest University.

Qualifications

Education: MD or DO degree required.
Certification: Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Pathology (AP/CP).
Licensure: Must be eligible for or hold a valid North Carolina medical license.
Experience: Independent sign-out experience preferred; recent fellows with strong diagnostic skills are welcome to apply.
Skills: Proficient in Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, and Clinical Pathology with excellent communication and diagnostic skills.
