Locums – Saginaw, Michigan, Pathologist Opening Clinical Role:
    • 12/23-12/29, 1/1-1/17
    • January 6-13, 2025 January 13-17, 2025 January 20-24, 2025 February 3-10, 2025 February 10-14, 2025 February 17-TBD, 2025
    • Practice Setting (Free-Standing Pathology Lab/Hospital-Based Pathology Lab): Hospital based
    • Reason for Coverage: Gap in coverage, as other pathologist is leaving for another opportunity
    • Schedule (Shifts and Hours): Mon through Fri., 8:00am - 5:00pm
    • Call Schedule: Weekly (alternate week), start at Friday 5:00 pm, finish at next Friday 8:00am
    • Call Ratio: Every other week
    • Laboratory Certification: CLIA
    • Approx. Number of Cases Read Per Day: 35 – 50 - volume will be split with 2 pathologists
    • Locum Tenen Physician’s Responsibility for the Clinical Lab (Blood Bank, etc.): Supervise clinical laboratory, need AP/CP certified pathologist
    • Locum Provider Will Be Responsible for Grossing Their Own Specimens
    • Locum Provider Will Be Cutting Their Own Frozen Sections on the Cryostat
    • Number of Physicians in the Group: Only 1, typically 2
    • Number of Histotechnologists: 4
    • Locum Tenens Physician Will Not Be Required to Supervise Other Healthcare Providers
    • Other Pathologists Will Be Present During the Locum's Coverage
    • Type of Cryostat: Thermo Shandon

    • Cytology Proficiency Exam Required for GYN Cytolology: No GYN cytology specimen
