URGENT – New Locums Pathology Job in New York | Premium Rates

Jackson and Coker is contracted with a valued client based out of New York City who is searching for a highly skilled Pathologist to assist with their coverage needs starting ASAP.

Details/Requirements for Assignment #106054:
» Active New York license required
» Board Certified or true Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology
» Surgical pathology specimens and frozen sections
» Diagnostic evaluation of surgical pathology specimens, frozen sections, conferences/tumor board
» Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection cases
» Review and sign out cytopathology cases
» Prioritize malignant cases and submit all first-time malignant cases for daily intradepartmental consensus conference for peer review and concordance
» Involvement in processing of surgical pathology service management and quality improvement
» Instruct residents on service of general surgical pathology and cytopathology
» Volume: 13,000 specimens/year
» 20-30 cases per day depending on complexity
» 6 Pathologists on staff
» Hematopathology or Cytopathology is a plus
» Will be working at 1 main site, occasionally asked to work at another small hospital
» 400+ bed hospital, Level 1 trauma center
