James H. Quillen VA Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to join their dynamic team in Johnson City, TN.

Clinical Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in general surgical pathology and non-gyn cytopathology sign-outs and share CP coverage and call responsibilities with three other pathologists. Additionally, he/she will share sign-out of peripheral blood smears and bone marrow aspiration and biopsy specimens with one other pathologist. The selected candidate will be expected to provide clinical and didactic teaching to pathology residents and be an active participant in teaching pathology to medical students in the pre-clerkship phase of our integrated curriculum (TRAILS). Participation in scholarly activities is expected with available mentoring in teaching and research skills.

The successful candidate must be board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. In addition, a solid background as a generalist in surgical pathology and cytopathology with either documented long-term experience in signing out bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood smears, or be hematopathology fellowship trained and either board-certified, or board eligible in hematopathology is required.
