Pathology Physician Locum Tenens Job in Texas | Ongoing for 1-2 Weeks Per Month | Starts December 2024

Jackson and Coker is seeking a Pathology Physician for a locum tenens position in Texas. This is an ongoing position that requires 1-2 weeks per month, starting in December 2024. To qualify, candidates must have a Texas state medical license or an active IMLC LOQ at the time of presentation. Candidates must also be board certified or eligible as a pathologist.

Dates of Coverage Needed:
--December 16-20
--January 6-10
--January 13-17
--January 20-24
+ongoing 1-2 weeks per month

Job Requirements for Assignment #105889:
* Texas state medical license OR IMLC LOQ (IMLC must be active at time of presentation)
* Board Certified/Eligible Pathologist
* Temporary privileges available
* Two other permanent pathologists available to assist with reads
* Lab responsibilities: gross and cover frozens first day, then read slides next day, etc.
* General Pathologist who can perform their own grossing/frozens
* Case mix is biopsies (GI, cervix, embs, some skins from plastic surgeon)
* IR biopsies with adequacy assessments
* Some big cases, malignant and benign colons, breast, thyroids
* There are bone marrows, but other Pathologists are willing to take those of locums isn't comfortable
* Helpful and kind support staff
* Must have case logs from the past year to qualify for hospital privileges
