Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Chief of Pathology and engage in surgical pathology, cytopathology, autopsy services, and clinical pathology.
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality assurance programs, and departmental meetings.
• Provide supervision and training for pathology staff and oversee lab operations.
• Maintain patient privacy and fulfill mandatory training obligations.
Qualifications
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
• Commitment to the VA mission and a professional work ethic.
Working Hours
• Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a full-time schedule (Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm) and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

US Residency Trained
Current/Unrestricted State Medical License from any State
· We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate physician to provide high quality blood
bank oversite and direct patient care in therapeutic phlebotomy and apheresis procedures in a
multidisciplinary team.
· Supervision and teaching of pathology residents.
· Opportunities for additional clinical and/or anatomic pathology duties as applicable per
training and experience.
· Adherence to quality measures and Standards
· Participation in quality assurance programs and chart reviews
· Transfusion Medicine Fellowship in an ACGME accredited training program. (Candidates in
the final year of their fellowship are eligible to apply, provided they will complete their
fellowship before joining this position).
· ABP Board eligibility/certification in Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine.
