Work Dates Needed: ASAP - Ongoing
Preferred Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm | Call alternate weekly, start Friday at 5pm, finish next Friday 8am
Scope of Work: Anatomic Pathology Procedures: Surgical, GI pathology, GU pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Cytology
Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: MI License | IMLC | AP/CP certified
EMR: Allscripts Sunrise/NovoPath
Cases/Procedures: Approximately 35-50 cases read per day.
Grossing own specimens
Cut own frozen sections on Cryostat
Procedures: hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, blood bank
Need to be able to handle GI biopsies, breast biopsies and neuropathology in particular.
Neurosurgical cases are the most frequent frozen section requests both during the daytime and after hours on call.
