Pennsylvania, Abington (Philadelphia metro) (USA). Jefferson Abington Hospital, JAH, is seeking a full time AP/CP board certified / eligible Anatomic Pathologist who has strong skills in general surgical pathology, fellowship training preferred or years of experience in practice with another subspecialty (such as Cytology, GI, GU, Breast or other fields). The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated interest in leadership, quality management and teaching. There are opportunities for scholarly activity including collaborative research, but are not the primary area of endeavor.
JAH is a tertiary care 600+ bed facility with several campuses including Abington and Lansdale as well as the Sidney Kimel Cancer Center in Willow Grove. The Department of Pathology sees approximately 21,000 surgical pathology cases, 5,000 non-gyn cytology cases and 6-7,000 gyn cytology cases. The department currently consists of 7 full and part-time pathologists.
