Surgical Pathology Opportunity in Greenville, NC
ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking board certified Surgical Pathologists to join their established program. Applicants should be AP or AP/CP certified, or board eligible. The growing pathology program manages approximately 30,000 surgical and 7,000 cytology cases including 1,300 fine needle aspirates annually.
Highlights include:
· Employment by ECU Health Physicians
· Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a level 1 trauma, 974 bed Academic Medical Center, 2nd largest in NC
· Affiliation with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University
· Fellowship training desired in these areas: Breast, Gynecology, Genitourinary, Gastrointestinal, and Renal pathology
· Established anatomic pathology division includes 9 surgical pathologists centralized in one tertiary care center hospital laboratory
· Hybrid subspecialty case distribution, with focus on areas of individual expertise and interest, and general surgical pathology sign-out
· Pathologists are actively involved in the training pathology residents
· Surgical pathologists participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards as part of accredited cancer programs
· Shared call includes frozen section support
· Opportunity to participate in laboratory directorship of limited-scope satellite laboratories, supported by the full team of departmental subject matter experts in anatomic and clinical pathology
