Job Summary:
HCA’s Forward Pathology Solutions is seeking a PRN Pathologist, Board Certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, for our south market to serve the communities of Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties. The position would be based at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, but also serve HCA Florida Englewood Hospital, South Shore Hospital, Blake Hospital, and HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital.Qualified Candidates:
- AP/CP certification or board eligibility
- At least three years of hospital-based experience
- Active Florida Medical License or eligible to obtain
- Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience building collaborative relationships with hospital staff and referring physicians.
- Wide range of surgical pathology specimens
- Cytology cases primarily consist of a variety of non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA’s, and lung FNA’s.
- Clinical pathology may include peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.
- Employs over 170 board certified multispecialty pathologists
- Provides professional services to over 70 HCA Healthcare hospitals and Integrated Regional Laboratories
