- Large physician-owned pediatric multi-specialty group, serving the only freestanding childrens hospital in Virginia
- Join 3 existing Pediatric Pathologists
- Must be AP/CP certified, preferably BC/BE in pediatric pathology

- The annual workload consists of approximately 5,500 general pediatric surgical pathology cases including about 1,700 gastrointestinal biopsy accessions, about 20 autopsies per year, approximately 200 pediatric non-gynecology cytology cases (primarily CSF and BAL) and an average of 60 new malignancies of which approximately half are of hematologic origin. Clinical pathology duties include sign-out of blood smears, bone marrows and hemoglobin electrophoresis, transfusion service involvement and consultation with laboratory staff and clinicians.
