Interventional Pain Physician Valley Stream NY (Long Island)
Full time or Part time
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated Interventional Pain Physician, Physiatrist or Anesthesiologist to join our practices on Long Island. We are flexible in our need and the incoming physician has the potential to work either full or part time. The part time position will require travel between offices in Nassau County 2 days per week. If the physician prefers a full-time position, then the physician will be covering our offices in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
We are looking for a highly productive, interventional pain physician to evaluate and perform pain and spinal procedures. We have a C-arm in our office in Nassau so some procedures can be done in the office, while others would be performed at the local Surgical Center. Experience treating No Fault, Work Compensation, and personal injury patients a plus.

Duties:
- Evaluate and assess patients experiencing acute to chronic pain conditions
- Determining and implementing appropriate treatment plans for patients
- Monitoring ongoing progress and health of patients, and changing treatment plans, as necessary.
- Providing adaptive tools to improve the overall health and physical functioning of patients.
- Counseling patients and their families and helping them adapt to lifestyle changes.
- Prescribes appropriate prosthetic and orthotic devices as indicated. Checks for proper fitting of such devices.
- Keeps complete medical records of all services provided and the patients’ progress.
- Interacts with community-based referral sources, i.e. physicians, social workers, rehabilitation nurses, insurance companies, DVR counselors, etc., to facilitate patient care and patient referrals
- Perform Interventional pain/Spine procedures
- Provide Comprehensive care for patients undergoing interventional treatments, including pre-procedure education, informed consent, and post-procedure monitoring
- MD/DO licensed in NY
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management preferred.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pain Medicine (American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Pain Medicine, or similar).
- Experience with a diverse patient/payer mix treating No Fault, Work Compensation, and personal injury patients a plus.
