Pain Medicine Physician (Full-Time)

Locations: Waldorf, MD & Prince Frederick, MD

Practice: Newbridge Spine & Pain Center

Position Overview:

Newbridge Spine & Pain Center, a leading provider of comprehensive pain management services, is seeking a dedicated Pain Medicine Physician to join our team full-time. This position will be split between our Waldorf and Prince Frederick, Maryland locations. We offer flexible scheduling options, considering both 4-day and 5-day work weeks to support work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide non-surgical pain management and relief for both chronic and acute pain conditions.
  • Perform interventional procedures such as subacromial injections, therapeutic and steroid injections, epidurals, cervical transforaminal epidural injections, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and nerve root blocks (candidates proficient in some but not all of these procedures will be considered).
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of pain conditions, including:
    • Head, neck, and spine conditions
    • Shoulder, arm, and elbow conditions
    • Hip, leg, and knee conditions
    • General body conditions
    • Cancer-related pain
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and other specialists.
  • Educate patients on pain management strategies and preventative care.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Neurology, or Psychiatry.
  • Fellowship trained and certified in Pain Medicine.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Pain Medicine preferred; however, stellar new graduates will be considered.
  • Active Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
