Job Description
The physician must be fully qualified to diagnose, treat, stabilize, and manage patients according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods, and techniques. He/she must complete and maintain both BLS and ACLS certification, with courses approved by the American Heart Association only. The physician will be required to maintain a weekday tour with assigned call sufficient to cover the needs of the Service as determined by the Chief, Medical Service, and the Chief of Staff. Required call coverage may include the physicians participation in the Third (3rd) Call Attending rotation. In addition to required coverage assignments, the physician will establish and maintain professional relationships clinic staff to include nursing employees assigned to their unit; other providers within Medical Service and with other services and facility management which result in improved patient care.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Job Responsibilities
Incumbent is responsible for ensuring adequate access to care is available for both newly consulted as well as returning patients via care provided in outpatient Pain Management clinics. The physician will provide a mix of both consultative and follow-up patient care as warranted by Veteran demand.
Participates in the inpatient Pain Management consult service as assigned.
The practitioner will provide both emergency consultative services and call coverage on a rotating schedule to be determined by the Section Chief, Pain Management.
