Western Central Illinois needs 2 ENT’s:
$400,000/year plus productivity incentive bonus plan, loan assistance of 50k and sign-on bonus as well as relocation all paid.
Benefits: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD & D insurance, malpractice coverage with tail, 403(b) pension plan plus 457(b) tax-deferral option, employee child care center, six weeks annual paid time off plus one week of CME time, $5,000 annual professional expense allowance, and more.
Situation: Physician Services is a 40-member, 14-specialty physician group with 20 primary care doctors affiliated with the not-for-profit Health System, the largest medical provider serving a largely rural 300,000 population region composed of West Central Illinois, Northeast Missouri, and Southeast Iowa. The System operates a 426-bed regional referral center in Western Illinois, (population 50,000) and Community Hospital, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in central, Illinois, (population 4,300).
The group intends to open an ENT Department and needs to add two highly skilled, marketable, and hard-working ENT’s who are likeable team players and committed to quality patient care. The three ENT’s currently in the community have full practices and have been unable to accommodate the substantial referral volume generated by our primary care physicians. As a not-for-profit health system, we accept all patients regardless of economic condition or insurance coverage. The right physicians will enjoy quick growth of the practice and income to match. The group is housed in a new 100,000 sq. ft. clinic building connected by air bridge to the main hospital, offering maximum convenience and efficiency. Need to be willing to do trauma and take ER call. Support includes a Level II Trauma Center with 50,000 annual visits. Board Certification is an expectation of all our physicians. Base salary exceeds the MGMA median, and all physicians are eligible for a productivity incentive bonus plan based on work production as measured by WRVU’s.
Community: Western, Illinois, population 50,000, which is located on high limestone bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River near the westernmost point of Illinois. Area is renowned for its natural beauty, preservation of its exceptional stock of Victorian Era homes, and its highly developed programs in the arts. It has a highly diverse economic and employment base, and consistently has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Illinois. It has been cited as one of the 50 top small arts communities in the U.S. and one of the Top 100 small cities in which to live in the U.S. In 2010, Forbes Magazine rated it as the 8th Best Small City in the U.S. to Raise a Family. The community also offers excellent public and parochial schools, a public 2-year community college, a private 4-year university, two private vocational colleges, fine dining, expansive and well developed parks, and abundant recreational facilities. It is located two hours from St. Louis, three and a half hours from Kansas City, and four hours from Chicago. Six flights daily connect the local airport with St. Louis International Airport, and Amtrak provides two round trips daily to Chicago.
