Job Description
A healthcare system in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed ENT Physician for a promising opportunity at one of their outpatient clinics in Bergen County. Opportunity to be an Assistant Professor also involved with this role.
Responsibilities:
The ENT Physician will:
- Diagnose and treat a variety of conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, and surrounding areas
- Treat issues related to the ears, such as hearing loss, ear infections, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), balance disorders, and problems with the eardrum and middle ear bones
- Address disorders of the nasal passages and sinuses, including sinusitis, nasal congestion, allergies, deviated septum, and nasal polyps
- Manage disorders of the throat and voice, including conditions like laryngitis, vocal cord nodules or polyps, and other voice-related problems
- Diagnose and treat benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, which can include cancers of the throat, larynx, thyroid, and salivary glands
- Assess and manage swallowing difficulties, also known as dysphagia, which can be caused by various factors, including neurological issues or structural abnormalities
- Treat sleep disorders that can affect breathing, such as obstructive sleep apnea and snoring, which can sometimes involve surgical interventions
- Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, septoplasties (correction of deviated septum), sinus surgeries, removal of tumors, and more
- Handle minimally invasive and use endoscopes to visualize and treat internal structures
- Diagnose and treat hearing disorders and balance issues
- Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, helping them make informed decisions about their healthcare
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New Jersey
- Board Eligible / Certified in ENT
