Job Description
We are seeking a Locums Otolaryngology (ENT) Physician for a temporary assignment in Pittsfield, MA. This position involves a combination of office-based care, hospital surgery, and occasional emergency department (ED) or inpatient care. The shift hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend coverage required. On-call duties include two weekdays and one weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), with relatively slow ED coverage. This role involves 80% office-based care, spread over four days a week, and 20% hospital-based care, which is primarily surgical and scheduled one day per week. Periodic ED and inpatient care are required as needed. The average number of cases per day in the hospital is around 7. In a private practice setting, the average number of patients per day ranges from 18 to 20. The practice is composed of 80% clinic-based care and 20% hospital-based care, with most of the hospital work focused on surgical cases.
Requirements:
· Active Massachusetts medical license (not accepting IMLC)
· Board Certified in Otolaryngology
· BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
· COVID vaccination required
