- September 16
- October 5, 6, 7, 10, 14, 21, 24, 28, 30, 31
- November 1, 7
- December 1, 19
- Please present candidates with NC and NC DEA. Candidates w/o NC License and DEA will not be considered
- 24 Hour ED Call Coverage
- 24 hour call coverage shifts - 7a - 7a
- EMR: Cerner
- DEA, CSR – Required
- Board Certified – Required
- Patient Ages: Adult & Pediatric
- In-Patient/Out-Patient: IP (In-Patient)
- Providers must assist with Trauma call
- We do have a system in place for trauma cases that would help ease the burden for locums and possibly make them feel more comfortable with taking this call responsibility
- We have residents on call 24/7 and these residents are always first call for any cases that present in the ED
- There is always an oral surgeon and plastic surgeon on call for their specialty in the event that these providers needed a consult for a case they did not feel comfortable with
- The ideal schedule for trauma is for oral surgery to be on call every other day with ENT and plastics covering the days in between, so the hope would be that the majority of the patients could be stabilized until the oral surgeons came on shift for trauma call the next AM (this would be best case scenario for ENT to hand off to oral surgery so they could assist in follow-up care and already be familiar with the patient)
- Our goal in having locums assist with oral maxillofacial trauma call is to lift the burden from our oral surgeons who not only cover their own specialty call 24/7, but then pull “double duty” when covering
