Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP upon credentialing
  • FULL TIME coverage strongly preferred
  • Between 6-8 monthly clinic / OR combined
  • Practice Type: Office/Clinic & Hospital/Call
  • 90% Adult, 10% Pediatric
  • 50% Surgical & 50% Office/Clinic
  • 15 Patients per day on average, 95 % scheduled, 5% add-ons.
  • 2-6 hospital patients surgeries per physician per day.
  • 1 Physician in practice, and 1 mid-level.
  • The locums physician will be required to supervise other healthcare providers. Provider will not be required to teach.
  • No other Otolaryngologist will be present during locums coverage.
  • Lab & X-Ray on site.
  • RN supports physician and immunology / allergy clinic. MA and RN support APP and MD as well as office support staff.
  • Office equipment: Olympus Flexible Scope - ENF-VQ, Cryotherapy for skin procedures, Cautery unit (ValleyLab Force FX - Electrosurgical Generator), Zeiss OPMI Pico wall mount scope, Three SMR carts, Welch Allen Tympanogram, Greer SPT skin prick testing, Spirometry EasyOne Air.
  • 39 total beds in the hospital
  • Trauma Level 3
  • Referral/Transfer Protocol: Utilize patient line. Front Range is ~150 miles
  • Required Procedures: General Otolaryngology - Surgical & Non-surgical, Endoscopic Procedures - Septal, Sinus, Bronchoscopy-Flexibility & rigid, Laryngoscopy, Tracheotomy.
  • Preferred Procedures: Thyroidectomy, extended parotidectomy, radical neck surgery, facial reconstruction, facial surgery - facial implants, blepharoplasty, and rhinoplasty.
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days

Qualifications

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Board Certified Otolaryngology - REQUIRED, NO BOARD ELIGIBLE WILL BE ACCEPTED.
• Active CO License - REQUIRED or Active IMLC.
• Must be able to perform all of the required procedures in job description - REQUIRED TO NOTE AT NAME CLEAR
• Must be able to supervise - REQUIRED TO NOTE.
• Must include availability at name clear - REQUIRED
• Active ACLS (AHA) - REQUIRED
• Clean background/no malpractice - REQUIRED
• COVID VACCINATED - REQUIRED

Working Hours

Shift/Schedule:

An OR day would be:
• Monday - Thusday (facility is flexible on the days of week), 8a-5p. Mix of clinic coverage and hospital call coverage.
• 8a-12p: OR
• 1p-5p: Clinic
• 5p-8a: Weekday Night Call
On a clinic day it would be:
• 8a-5p: Clinic
• 5p-8a: Call
