Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and consistently demonstrates competency in all areas of assigned client care needs and seeks out additional information, in services or educational opportunities to remain competent and current.
  • Effectively coordinates schedule and assignments in order to assure maximum productivity, efficiency, and meet deadlines and commitment to customers including patients, other physical medicine staff members and other members of the health care team.
  • Administers and evaluates videonystagmography tests
  • Performs electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids for documentation of function and troubleshooting. Performs real ear analysis/speech mapping for optimal tuning and adjusting of hearing aids
  • Conducts all components of complete audiometric hearing test battery as needed for differential diagnosis of hearing loss or other specific test objectives for pediatric through geriatric life stages
  • Provides counseling to patients and families which may concern the current function of the hearing mechanism, the nature of the hearing loss, the use of the hearing aids or the handicapping effects of hearing loss
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
