Orthopedic Hand Surgeon Locums Job | Two Stretches in 2025 | Vacation Coverage in Central Florida | March & December 2025

Jackson and Coker's valued client in Central Florida needs Orthopedic Hand Surgery call coverage support for 2 stretches in 2025 while their surgeon is on vacation. This opportunity is for 24-hour ED call coverage, covering the ortho-hand surgery service line only (not covering general orthopedics).

Specific Dates:
--Monday, March 24 at 7AM – Friday, March 28 at 7AM
--Friday, December 19 at 7AM – Monday, January 5, 2026 at 7AM

Details/Requirements for Assignment #105467:
+ Active Florida license + DEA required
+ Seeking candidates that are Board Certified and fellowship trained/highly experienced in Orthopedic Hand surgery
+ 24-hour call coverage - NO clinic or scheduled outpatient elective surgeries while covering
+ Only covering ortho-hand surgery; general ortho will be covered by staffed surgeons
+ Will work alongside of General Orthopedic Surgeons while covering ortho-hand call; Will not have any inpatient APP support specific to ortho-hand service line
+ 100% adult patient population
+ Volume varies, however, you can anticipate an average of 2-3 calls from the ED each day (1-2 new admissions/day) + average of ~4 add on’s each week
+ Facility detail: not a designated trauma center, 375+ bed facility, central Florida location (about an hour from Orlando), EPIC EMR
+ Will be required to complete a health system specific EPIC training prior to your start date
