Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Locums to Perm Job in Michigan | Part-Time Coverage | April Start | Assignment #106318

Dates of Coverage:
--Coverage: 1-2 Blocks of 3 Days per month starting April 2025 through July 2025 with opportunity to go perm
--Schedule: Two 24-Hour Call (7:00am-7:00am) shifts, one 8-hour shift for follow-up

--Example Schedule: *start day can be flexible

* Monday (7am) – Wednesday (7am) > 24-Hour Call

* Wednesday > 8-hour “clean-up” (8am-5pm)

* Thursday-Sunday > OFF

-- Daily Expectation:

* 24-Hour Call Days - OR/Floor each day during call (up to 6 hours of direct patient care)

* 8-Hour 'Clean-up' Day - OR/Floor for up to 8 hours of direct patient care

Assignment Details:
-- Seeking one provider to cover 3-6 days/month (two 24-hour shifts, with call back hours + third, 8-hour day to cleanup from the 2 on call shifts)

-- Practice Setting: Hospital coverage with ambulatory follow-up as needed

-- Volume: 3-4 surgical cases per shift

-- Procedures: Ortho Trauma surgical cases - all trauma presentations to include pelvis, acetabular, and supracondylar humerus fractures

-- Population: Adult, Geriatric

-- Requirements: Board Certified, ABMS accredited Residency, active MI license + DEA, COVID vaccine, clean malpractice

-- 20 operating rooms; 3-4 surgical cases per day

-- >125,000 ER visits per year

-- EMR: EPIC
