Job Duties:
- Diagnose, and treat or prescribe a course of treatment, surgery, and therapy for patients with disorders, malformations, diseases of and injuries to the musculoskeletal system
- Take and review patient case histories, examine patients and design treatment and therapeutic plans
- Order patient X-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests, interpret test results and evaluate examination findings
- Perform surgical procedures consistent with training and practice patterns such as back and spinal surgeries, joint replacement surgery, etc., and coordinate operation care with anesthesia staff
- Determine procedures for pre-operative and post-operative care, including administering sedatives and prescribing diets
- Perform fracture treatment by open or closed methods, using appropriate devices as braces, casts, and splints
- Manage and assist in the management of patients suffering from surgical complications
- Create treatment plans and write orders on patients¿ charts, which are transcribed and implemented by appropriate staff
- Participate in the management of orthopedic surgery services, scheduling of operations, and assignment of surgical staff
- Participate in the direction of pre- and post-operative care and operating room management
- Manage patient care in hospital and outpatient settings
Comp/Benefits:
- Salary Range: $500,000 - $600,000
- Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
