Job Description

Last Update: 10/11/24

Ennis Regional Medical Center and Parkview Regional Hospital, two ScionHealth facilities located about 50 miles apart in Central Texas, are searching for a BC/BE orthopedic surgeon to provide general orthopedic care for both communities. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience and be comfortable practicing solo in a smaller town setting. The structure would include clinic and OR time in each market weekly. As the practice grows, there would be APP assistance added for efficiency. Spanish bilingual preferred.

The package may include:

  • Comp is MGMA median or better based on experience
  • Both markets have superb quarterly bonus potential based on productivity
  • $50K sign-on bonus
  • Student loan assistance
  • 10 days' call monthly + call pay for days over 10 that you choose to take
  • Robust benefits
  • Hunting/fishing license included, if desired

Ennis is a community of about 18K located 35 minutes south of the Dallas/Ft Worth Multiplex. A charming community that is growing fast, Ennis is a great place to raise a family, with its shops, restaurants, schools and year-round festivals.

Mexia is richly historic community of 8K residents that offers much in the way of outdoor activities and community events. For a candidate looking for a little land but a desire to have driving access to larger metros like Waco (40 miles), D/FW (90 miles) or Houston (2 .5 hours), Mexia is ideal.
