Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon to join our employed orthopedic team in Port Arthur, TX. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a general orthopedic surgeon with an interest in total joint procedures. The position includes participation in the ED call rotation, with a schedule of 1:3 or 1:4. The ideal candidate will have a passion for total joints and will benefit from working in a center of excellence for total joint replacements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic care with a focus on general orthopedic surgery and a special interest in total joint procedures.
  • Collaborate with the existing orthopedic team, including another general orthopedic surgeon with a focus on orthopedic sports and total knee surgeries.
  • Participate in the ED call rotation approximately every 1:3 or 1:4 weeks, ensuring coverage for a range of orthopedic emergencies.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including performing surgeries, managing pre- and post-operative care, and providing consultations.
  • Utilize the hospital's center of excellence for total joints to provide advanced treatment and surgical options.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in total joint procedures.
  • Ability to handle a diverse range of orthopedic cases, with a focus on both elective and emergency surgeries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and interact with patients and families.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
